Mexico provides the perfect blend between the past & present, boasting one of the most vibrant & exciting cultures in the world.

Over the past 30 years, Mexico's economy has been growing quietly but steadily and is now on the brink of becoming one of the top 10 largest economies in the world, already surpassing Spain. It is also considered to be the leading exporter in the whole of Latin America - one-third of all exports out of Latin America are made in Mexico.

When you come to Mexico you will experience a mixture of cultures, history, music, art, flavors and colors along with the warmth of the Mexican people, some of the friendliest locals in in the world.

Mexico is a special destination to intern abroad as modern day Mexican culture is a fusion between the traditions & history of the ancient civilizations of Mexico along with the Mexican colonial period.

Mexico is one of the most biodiverse countries on the planet, and is home to a significant number of UNESCO World Heritage Sites - including one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Chichén Itzá. This should come as no surprise because Mexico can be said to have had seven major civilizations: The Olmec, Teotihuacan, the Toltec, the Aztec, Zapotec, Mixtec, and the Maya. There are also cities from the Mexican colonial period, natural reserves and stunning beaches to explore.

As you settle in and get used to your surroundings as you intern abroad in Mexico, it is likely your new colleagues and the locals will recommend traveling to some must-visit places and we highly recommend it too.

In terms of Mexican cuisine, there is so much more to it than tacos & burritos. Mexican food is interesting & bold, and it was named part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO with tortillas, corn and chili being three key ingredients. Of course, it is important to note that it is common to add chili to pretty much everything, and eating food is a social occasion, especially on weekends - we'll let you discover 'Barbacoa' or 'Pancita' for yourself.
